WHO SPEAKS FOR THE BLACK VOTE IN THE AGE OF TRUMP is the second of two volumes along with GET YOUR KNEE OFF OUR NECKS that together chronicle Events surrounding George Floyd's brutal Murder and John Lewis' efforts to promote effective Black Voter expressions through actual Voting, particularly encouraged by passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (A voting Rights Extension) and the George Floyd Police Brutality Act designed to check police actions towards Black-Americans. A principal purpose of these two books is, whether its comments, signage or persons who took to the streets to express their outrage at the ghastly murder and unrest as cause of systemic racism in American institutions, and particularly practices of the Donald Trump Administration and the man himself are heeded and corrected. The hope is, these events should not disappear from public consciousness and should remain front burner issues going forward and feature especially in the November 2020 Election and beyond. The Table of Contents of the current volume Who Speaks for the Black Vote in the Age of Trump? includes: "Commitment March on Washington;" Value of the Black Vote; Who Speaks for the Black Vote I, II, III; 'Old Papi' and the Black Vote; A Consequential Election; Life in Death: Medgar Evers; Southern Sheriffs; Original Boys Wearing Hoods; Voting Rights and Redistricting; Lawmakers in Hoodies; Honoring John Lewis; Honoring John Lewis, Again; To Die and Not Be Forgotten; No Self-Respecting Black Should Vote for Trump: The "Chosen of God" - Donald Trump and John Lewis; Its Joe's Show; Is Charlemagne the 2020 Version of the 2016 Puffy?; Kamala - 'Ain't I a woman, Too'; The Russian Thing; Blacks at the Republican National Convention; Erik Trump's Diatribe; Kamala and Michelle; Michelle and Donald; The Case of Two DAs; Pastors and Pastors. Throughout, at the beginning of each chapter, famous quotes of John Lewis and by others about him are included. Most significant, an avalanche of photographs, more than 500, depicting hand-held and on clothing signage send a devastatingly creative but serious message about Americans' view of these most pressing issues particularly before they go to the polls in November, 2020. If anyone was there, their photo probably appears in this public display of peaceful protest to express empathy, compassion and concern for citizens and an America heading in the wrong direction by a man unconcerned about the message his behavior sends. Again, the Photographs express a compelling message of people's outrage particularly regarding Who Speaks for the Black Vote in the Age of Trump?Dr. Fred Monderson is a former Professor and African Historian, Egyptologist and teacher who taught American history and Government in New York City public schools.fredsegypt.com@fredsegypt.comsumonpublishers.com@sumonpublisher.comblackfolksbooks.com@blackfolksbooks.com
