Readers get an up-close and confiding look at the true, inspiring tale of an accomplished author and business leader's once-reckless life turned fulfilling when a spiritual awakening brought him closer to God.
When Perry was young, his life was made up of near-death experiences and reckless choices. Even he admits some of these close calls happened in his more mature years-leading him to a place he hadn't thought to go before.
Inside himself.
When the thrill-seeking subsided, Perry dove inside himself to learn some important lessons: he wasn't invincible and there was a reason he still walked, talked, and breathed after all the wild experiences he had.
He hadn't yet found or fulfilled his God-given purpose.
Remembering a vision his devout Christian mom had of him speaking to a large congregation of people, Perry began to wonder if there was something missing in his life he'd been blind to before.
In What Doesn't Kill You, Perry chronicles the thrill and danger of his scariest moments with the underlying thread of faith woven throughout his life. He hopes that within the narrative of his journey from reckless sinner to redeemed servant, other readers will reflect on their own lives and discover a belief that there is a true reason they are here.
