by Luther Lee Bernard (Author)
The Transition To An Objective Standard Of Social Control is a book written by Luther Lee Bernard in 1911. The book talks about the need for an objective standard for social control in society. Bernard argues that social control is necessary for the proper functioning of society, but the current standards of social control are subjective and lack consistency. He proposes that an objective standard of social control should be established to ensure fairness and consistency in the application of social control measures. The book covers various topics related to social control, including crime, punishment, and rehabilitation. It also discusses the role of government and the legal system in establishing and enforcing social control measures. The book is an important contribution to the field of sociology and criminology and is still relevant today in discussions about social justice and the criminal justice system. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
