by Lynn Barnes (Author)
The story of wine provides an introduction to wine in South Africa, including what wine is, a little about its history, different types of wine and how they are made. Short, simple chapters take readers through the process of wine making, from growing the grapes to bottling and labelling the final product.
This book is one of the seven books in the Made in South Africa series, by ex-school teacher turned non-fiction author Lynn Barnes. The books are aimed at younger readers and are divided into short chapters with full-colour photos and illustrations. The language is clear and accessible for both first- and second-language learners. A word help section explains more difficult terms that are relevant to the particular topic. These informative books provide excellent resource material for school projects and assignments. They are ideal for schools, libraries, home-schooling and children with enquiring minds.
