On September 21, 2016, Faith Brown witnessed her husband brutally murder her four children in their home. She was left alive--though scarred from the knife wounds he inflicted during the incident--and has spent the subsequent years learning to cope with the loss of her kids. The incident and subsequent trial made national news. After the attack, Faith learned that her husband (now serving a life sentence) had killed his previous wife, who was pregnant at the time, but had been granted early release by the parole board. Despite all of the trauma she has faced, Faith hopes to use her story as a means of helping other women who feel trapped in abusive and dangerous relationships. Beyond Faith's life story, including the details of the grisly events of what took place on that fateful September night, the book includes a resource list for women who need help leaving an abusive partner. Faith faced immeasurable trauma and is still coping with the aftershocks, but insists she is not broken and refuses to suffer. By relaying her story, she hopes she can help other women do the same.
