""The Economic Munich: The I.T.O. Charter, Inflation or Liberty, The 1929 Lesson"" is a book written by Philip Cortney in 1949. The book explores the economic policies and events that led to the Munich Agreement in 1938, which is widely regarded as a failed attempt to appease Nazi Germany. The author argues that the roots of the Munich Agreement can be traced back to the International Trade Organization (I.T.O.) Charter, which was a proposed international agreement that aimed to promote free trade and prevent economic nationalism.Cortney also discusses the impact of inflation on the global economy and argues that it played a significant role in the economic and political instability that led to World War II. He further examines the lessons that can be learned from the economic crisis of 1929 and how they can be applied to prevent future economic disasters.Overall, ""The Economic Munich"" provides a detailed analysis of the economic policies and events that shaped the pre-war world and offers insights into the potential consequences of economic nationalism and inflation. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of economics and international relations. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
