by Francis Wayland (Author), First Baptist Church of Boston (Created by)
This book contains two important speeches by prominent Baptist minister Francis Wayland. The first discourse examines the duties of American citizens in a democratic society, and the second reflects on the nature of public fasts and the obligations they impose on believers. Wayland's deeply thoughtful and insightful analysis of these topics makes this book a must-read for anyone interested in American history or political philosophy.
