Half of all marriages end, and, when they do, most parents hope to achieve a "good divorce" in which they can amicably raise their children with their former spouse. Amy J.L. Baker, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized leader and expert in the field of parental alienation and loyalty conflicts. She is the author of Adult Children of Parental Alienation Syndrome: Breaking the Ties That Bind (2007) and Working with Alienated Children and Families: A Clinical Guidebook (2012). Baker has published numerous academic articles on the topic of parental alienation and writes a blog for Psychology Today on the topic. She also has an active coaching practice for targeted parents and serves as an expert witness in custody disputes around the country.
Paul R. Fine, LCSW, isa licensed clinical social worker in practice in Englewood, NJ, in a community mental health center. He has over 30 years' experience providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to adults, teens, and children. Along with Amy Baker, he is the co-author of a chapter in the recently released Working with Alienated Children and Families: A Clinical Guidebook (2012) and the forthcoming book Co-Parenting with a Toxic Ex: Protecting Your Children from Loyalty Conflicts and Alienation (2013).
