Everything around her seems more beautiful and important in life than she is to anyone, including herself. During a trip window-shopping, the woman spies a teardrop pearl necklace in a store window. As she envisions the process of making a pearl in an oyster, she questions her self-worth and if something beautiful like a pearl could come from her life. Her answer arrives in the new book by author Helen Baffuto, She is a Pearl of Great Price, as the woman struggles to find what's missing in life. The woman finally cries out to the Lord, asking to be loved and appreciated for her worth. Suddenly, she finds her mind filled with God's words about loving her just the way she is and of Jesus' sacrifice for us. God reveals her worth is greater than rubies and that she is a woman of purpose: an undeniable truth in God's eyes.
