Author Biography

Sharmistha Chatterjee is an AI and cloud applications evangelist, serving as the Senior Vice President/Head of the Advanced Analytics Chapter at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. A graduate of Aalto University with a background in Computer Science and Engineering, she has established and led the practice, focusing on building scalable AI platforms. Sharmistha has published research papers, filed patents, and holds proven expertise in leading teams to develop scalable AI solutions across various industries. She is recognized as a 2X GDE, award-winning data scientist, and nominee for several accolades, including 40 under 40 Data Scientist, Women to Watch in AI and Analytics, and global leader finalist. She actively contributes to the community through blogging, speaking at international conferences, mentoring startups, and serving as a guest speaker at universities. Sharmistha is also an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, actively participating in DEI hiring initiatives and addressing gaps in AI tools.

Dr. Azadeh Dindarian transitioned from an engineer and scientist to a purpose-driven entrepreneur, earning a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a BEng in Computing and Communication Systems Engineering from The University of Manchester. Specializing in addressing societal challenges, she is the founder of Youniversapp, an AI-powered mental fitness app for teenagers. As a professor at SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences, her focus encompasses digitalization, youth mental health, and technologies in mental and digital health. Azadeh's expertise includes software innovation, data-driven project management, and cross-functional team collaboration. As the CEO of Youniversapp, she utilizes AI and psychoeducation to promote teenagers' social and emotional skills, aiming to prevent mental illness. Azadeh's commitment to diversity and entrepreneurship is evident through her initiatives such as Women AI Academy and Resili Tech Venture. She continues to influence the next generation through lectures and mentoring in engineering, digitalization, and ethical AI. Her research contributions span peer-reviewed journals and books on digitalization, emerging technologies, sustainability, and smart cities.

Usha Rengaraju, the Head of Data Science Research at Exa Protocol, holds the distinction of being the world's first women triple Kaggle Grandmaster. Specializing in Deep Learning and Probabilistic Graphical Models, she served as a judge for prestigious challenges such as Tiger Graph's "Graph for All - Million Dollar Challenge" and the Intel oneAPI Hackathon in 2022. Recognized as a Top 10 Data Scientist in India (2020) by Analytics India Magazine, a leading woman data scientist, and a Top 150 AI Leader and Influencer by 3AI magazine, Usha is a trailblazer in her field. Her initiatives include organizing NeuroAI, India's first research symposium at the intersection of Neuroscience and Data Science, and the Neurodiversity India Summit, the country's inaugural Neurodiversity conference. A champion of Autism (Neurodiversity), Usha focuses on leveraging AI to address the challenges faced by the autistic community. She led her team to victory in the WiDS 2022 Datathon, won the Kaggle ML Research Spotlight for 2022, and earned the TensorFlow Community Spotlight in 2023. Passionate about applying AI to healthcare, Usha believes in its transformative potential for India's healthcare crisis. With expertise in Deep Learning for computer vision and NLP, she aims to revolutionize mental healthcare by enhancing public health surveillance, enabling early disease diagnosis, and advancing precision medicine.
