Jerry Schemmel is an author, broadcaster, plane crash survivor and record setting cyclist. Jerry survived the crash of United Airlines Flight 232 in Sioux City, IA in 1989. He has worked as a Radio and TV broadcaster in the NBA and Major League Baseball. Jerry owns several ultra cycling records in the state of Colorado. In 2015, he and race partner Brad Cooper won the two person relay division of the Race Across America. A documentary film, Godspeed, was made about the duo's victory.
