He inquires into the ways in which speech and poetry evoke the common historical experience of North and South America and examines the transatlantic "sea changes" of European languages. Author Biography
Richard Morse was a scholar of Latin America and a professor at Columbia University. He also acted as the chairman of Latin American studies at Yale University and the secretary of Latin American affairs at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
