Russell Ruffin is an Emmy Award Winning television news veteran and author. Gathering information for his book, Ruffin has been at the center of breaking news from the 2015 riots in Baltimore to the civil unrest in Ferguson, MO. He has worked as a reporter for both NBC as well as Fox News Channel. Today he works with Law Enforcement Agencies around the country to help them create and improve their offices of Public Information. He has authored two other books, Media Matters, an examination and critique of the best and worst major media incidents as well as The Media Insiders' Public Information Officer's Guide, a textbook for News Makers and spokespersons. Russell's news stories have appeared on CNN, Fox, NBC and the European Broadcast Union. He has been featured and profiled on a variety of programs on the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and the Weather Channel.
