Fashion has become a fertile field of study for academics across disciplines, now that the rules, once tightly fixed, have been deconstructed. This volume brings together academics from various disciplines - philosophy, sociology, medicine, anthropology, psychology and psychiatry - to examine fashion's complex relationship with post-industrial societies. Ana Marta González is Associate Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain.
Laura Bovone is a professor in Sociology of Communication, Director of the 'Centro per lo studio della moda e della produzione culturale' and the Master's program 'Comunicazione per le industrie culturali' at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
