When a little goose misplaces his beloved blanket just before bedtime, he goes on a "wild goose chase" with his mother in hopes of finding it. Along the way, he learns what hope is, that his blanket is a special symbol of the haven of strength and comfort we all need.
"Hope is a Blanket" was written for families struggling with grief or loss - be it a miscarriage, death of a loved one or pet, a friend moving far away, trauma associated with foster or adoptive experiences - to show us how we can find hope amidst and beyond our struggles.
Cozy up with your favorite blanket when you read it and know:
Hope may look a little different,
Every time you read these pages.
But always look with confidence,
No matter what your age or stage is.
Never worry if she'll show up.
She'll never let you down.
Just believe that she exists,
And Hope can always be found.
