The final chapters address ocean environmental protection and pollution prevention and the implications of various uses of the ocean: military, navigation and transport, and marine scientific research. JAMES C.F. WANG is Professor of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. He has published a number of books on contemporary Chinese and Asian politics. He is a member of the Law of the Sea Institute and the Council on Ocean Law.
