The involvement of African-Americans in the Yoruba religion now spans over six decades, having emerged in the 1960s, often coming here by way of Cubans of African origin. Kemba Mchawi holds a BA degree in English, and MA and Ed.S degrees in Educational Leadership. She enjoys exercising, reading, writing, and learning & teaching about the Yoruba Lucumi tradition.
