Freedom from My Self begins with an account of golden early childhood experiences, and then radically transforms into a story of bullying, painful sexual discovery and the traumatic coming out process of a gay man. The depth of suffering that evolves almost ends a young adult life. The suffering continues to build in intensity, incorporating the onset of a chronic disease that takes away the ability to speak, to a profound tipping point. Starting with the discovery of the ceaseless and devastating 'voice in the head', a pathway out of the pain and into the joy of being is uncovered. Using real world examples from an everyday life, the book reveals that pathway with steps that are readily accessible to anyone.
