"Hey Siri, when is my counseling session?"
Just five years ago, this question might have sounded absurd. Today, students are turning to AI-powered bots for everything from college applications to emotional check-ins.
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms education, counselors are increasingly expected to navigate digital tools, predictive analytics and AI-driven student support systems, often without the guidance or resources they need. This timely book fills that gap, offering a practical, human-centered framework for integrating AI ethically and equitably into K16 counseling.
Drawing from her extensive background in education, counseling, and leadership, Dr. Narineh Makijan provides tools, case studies, and actionable strategies to ensure that AI enhances, rather than replaces, the relational foundation of student support.
