Baby Brandon's Gastroschisis adventure so far is the perfect book for anyone who is a part of the 1,871 American children per year who have been diagnosed with - or know someone - who has been diagnosed with - Gastroschisis - a birth defect where the baby's intestines grow outside the body.
Brandon's adventurous journey tells his story in an interactive, experiential way for both children and adults, who as they read the story, can add details about their own or their child's experiences with Gastroschisis.
This book will appeal not only to the parents of gastroschisis kids but also to medical staff, psychologists and teachers who can use it as a tool to begin a conversation that is often scary and intimidating for those involved.
