The essence of the process is alchemical and what controls it is mysterious, lodged in the unconscious dynamics of the self. Central to the discussion are Jung's late writings on the alchemy of psychological transformation in the late stages of individuation. \u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eMurray Stein, Ph.D.\u003c\/b\u003e is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the \u003ci\u003eInternational School of Analytical Psychology Zurich (ISAP-ZURICH)\u003c\/i\u003e. He is a founding member of the \u003ci\u003eInter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts\u003c\/i\u003e (1977) and of the \u003ci\u003eChicago Society of Jungian Analysts\u003c\/i\u003e (1980). He was president of the \u003ci\u003eInternational Association for Analytical Psychology\u003c\/i\u003e (IAAP) from 2001 to 2004 and President of \u003ci\u003eISAP-ZURICH\u003c\/i\u003e from 2008 to 2012.
