He is the translator of numerous books, including \u003ci\u003eA Cat, A Man, and Two Women \u003c\/i\u003eand \u003ci\u003eChildhood Years \u003c\/i\u003eby Junichiro Tanizaki. \u003cb\u003eNobuko Ochner\u003c\/b\u003e is an associate professor of Japanese at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu. She is the coeditor of \u003ci\u003eConfluences: Studies from East to West in Honor of V.G. Viglielmo\u003c\/i\u003e.
