From 1968 to 1973 she produced, wrote, and directed the TV program \u003ci\u003eThe Black Experience\u003c\/i\u003e. As a writer, Mari Evans has produced poetry, short fiction, children's books, and theater pieces, including a musical based on \u003ci\u003eTheir Eyes Were Watching God\u003c\/i\u003e.
